Gettysburg Address

These past few months, a group of dedicated eighth graders have taken to a great challenge; perfecting the memorization and delivery of the Gettysburg Address. All of them in hopes to be nominated for reciting Lincoln's great speech, in the Lincoln Building. There they will be judged, and the top three will receive a cash prize ranging from $100-$200. Since October, many people joined and quit, until our top 13 remained. On Wednesday, November 15, they recited it for the judges. The results are finally in. A total of 5 people made it, and all five are Fugett Cougars. So who made it? The victors were, Ellie Blanck, Chinonye Moneme, Jaiden Silfer, and our very own editors, Pranav Muthaiyan and Brenne Aravind! They will go to recite the perfected speech, in hopes to bring their hard work to light, and to possibly place high enough to win some prize money. You can come show support for these hard working students on December 1st by attending the competition.
